About Dr. Gresham

I have lived in many different cultures all over the world and have family roots in the south. I fell in love with the field of psychology as a freshman at Tulane and moved to Atlanta to become a clinical psychologist, studying at Emory and Georgia State. Licensed as a psychologist in 1987, I remain fascinated and deeply involved in the practice of psychology as both an art and a science.

I know what it is like to create a marriage, go through a divorce, get remarried, have children and stepchildren, be a caregiver for elders, work at odd jobs, build a business, cope with stress, be a leader and have a dream. Those challenges and experiences have made me a better psychologist and a more empathic person.

My interests are stress management, couples counseling, career and work issues, adult children of alcoholics and the psychology of money. I  read extensively, attend workshops and conferences and stay up to date with changes in the field of psychology. I like to give presentations and workshops to the general public and to my colleagues in the field.

Social entrepreneurship is one of my values and I donate to causes that matter to me. My favorites are the Decatur Book Festival and Trees Atlanta.

My professional memberships  include the Georgia Psychological Association, where I have been honored by my peers to be elected to Fellow and have held a number of offices, the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Psychotherapists, and the Financial Therapy Association.
